The NAS Oceana Air Show returns to Virginia Beach on September 19–20, 2026, featuring the world-famous U.S. Navy Blue Angels along with military and civilian aerial performances. For the safety of all attendees, everyone entering the NAS Oceana Air Show must complete a security screening before accessing the flight line. All bags, personal belongings, and hand-carried items may be inspected, and guests will pass through walk-through security scanners. Visitors who decline the screening process will not be permitted to enter the event.
To help ensure a safe and efficient entry, please do not bring prohibited items to the air show. These include pop-up or shade tents, coolers, drones, remote-controlled aircraft, balloons, firearms, knives, multi-tools, alcohol, marijuana, illegal drugs, CBD/THC vape products, glass containers, bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, roller blades, pets (other than service animals), and outside food or beverages. Empty reusable water bottles and infant essentials, such as formula or milk, are permitted.
Guests are welcome to bring personal items that meet event guidelines. Approved items include cell phones, tablets, cameras and camcorders (with reasonable lens sizes), camera bags, folding or lawn chairs, umbrellas, small purses, fanny packs, wheelchairs, mobility devices, baby bags, strollers, empty reusable water bottles, and infant necessities. All permitted items, including camera equipment, are subject to inspection at security checkpoints. Photography may be restricted in designated areas of the flight line.
Drones are not permitted on or around NAS Oceana at any time during the event. Smoking and vaping are allowed only in designated smoking areas located away from aircraft, vendor areas, and spectator seating. Marijuana is prohibited anywhere on the installation.
The flight line provides little natural shade, so plan ahead for extended time outdoors. Wearing sunscreen, a hat, and lightweight clothing is recommended. Stay hydrated throughout the day and take advantage of the misting stations available to help keep cool.
